Wild Animals Getting into the Halloween Spirit with Pumpkins

For some of us, Halloween might include a costume for our pets, a pumpkin flavoured dog treat or spooky cat toy. But even bigger animals have been embracing the Halloween season, with a range of adorable photographs showing wild animals exploring pumpkins.

From squirrels to tigers, many species seem to love playing with the seasonal treat. So here’s a collection of animals enjoying pumpkins to brighten your day.

These animals were photographed at London Zoo, as part of a pumpkin patch event.

Activist Maisy Jordan’s post about giving carved pumpkins to squirrels went viral. She explained that pumpkins can provide food for wildlife during the hard winter months.
