These Werewolf Cats will Keep the Neighbors Off Your Porch this Halloween

While black cats might have been a Halloween staple for decades, they may now have a rival for spooky mascot status. Lykoi Cats, according to Refinery29, “get their unique appearance from a natural mutation in a domestic shorthair that gives the felines werewolf features and prevents them from growing a full coat of fur”.

Johnny Gobble and his wife Brittney, who are vets, were given a litter of kitties with this rare mutation. The cats were tested for skin and medical abnormalities, but their unusual appearance is not caused by any disorder.

According to the breeders website, the cats behave more like dogs than traditional cat breeds. They show a lot of loyalty to their owners, are motivated by scent and are very aware and intelligent.
