Watch The Trailer For UK Indie Horror EVIL NEVER DIES

A new spirit is abroad in British filmmaking and his name is Harry Payne.

Created by Norwich-based writer, John Mangan and produced by locals Paul Desira and Andrew Solomon, Evil Never Dies is the first feature film from EQ Films Limited, Norwich.

EQ Films has based itself in the East Anglia region to take advantage of the many varied and unique locations the area has to offer.  A long list of talented actors, writers and musicians also live here and we intend making East Anglia a centre of excellence for British filmmaking, capable of competing on the world stage with the best of Hollywood.

EVIL NEVER DIES is an original elevated horror, blending elements of British gangster films like “Get Carter” with a terrifying supernatural twist. Here’s the synopsis –

‘Ex-London gangster Harry Payne retires to Norfolk to be close to his wife, driven mad when he was forced to kill his best friend, psychopathic gang boss Eugene McCann. Immediately he is drawn into a murder mystery in which an obsessive local police detective, Inspector Bracken, targets him as the killer. However, unknown to anyone, Harry has psychic abilities he has always suppressed with alcohol. Now he must confront the supernatural and his own personal demons to save his wife and free the tormented souls of the ghosts that haunt him.’

EQ Films now has a large number of productions in various stages of development and EVIL NEVER DIES completed filming in Norfolk and Suffolk in 2013. `We intend to create original and exciting films in a variety of genres, ranging from the supernatural thrills of EVIL NEVER DIES to horror, sci-fi, action, thriller, drama, comedy and historical stories for both film and television, all with a uniquely British flavour.`

EVIL NEVER DIES stars Tony Scannell, P H Moriarty, Katy Manning, Anouska Mond and Graham Cole OBE and is directed by Martyn Pick.

It has been financed by local investors, with some additional support from Desira Group.
