Twisted re-imaginings of your favourite childhood characters

The internet is full of ways to destroy your childhood, but these twisted illustrations by Sylvain Sarrailh are really interesting re-imaginings of pop culture characters. You might never look at The Powerpuff Girls the same way again, but the artist has been super creative in warping these nostalgic characters.  Sarrailh is a French artist who writes and illustrates Neighbors of Chaos webcomic. He is an an independent illustrator from  Toulouse in France, and works in a workshop called “Atelier Spark”. His favourite artists and inspirations are Matt Groening, Satoshi Kon, Katsuhiro Otomo, and Studio 4°c. You can find more of his work on his DeviantART, or check out his comic here.

Superb. Beautiful to look at and he hasn’t gone too over the top with his concepts (except maybe Ronald McD!) I would watch Dora the explorer if she was like that!
I’m going to check out Deviant art right now
