The big horror news of the week has been the revelation that American Mary star Katharine Isabelle is set to join the cast of Hannibal. No stranger to genre television, as she’s just coming off a guest stint on Syfy’s Being Human, Isabelle’s post-American Mary resurgence is in full effect, and her major part on HANNIBAL will put her in front of an even wider audience. Details that have surfaced about her role of Margot describe her as one of Lecter’s troubled patients, a lesbian recovering from years of abuse courtesy of her murderous twin brother. Furthermore, Margot will serve as a bigger foil for Hugh Dancy’s Will, complicating his romantic life and possibly pitting Will against Lecter. Isabelle is set to debut on the eighth episode of the second season.
Described as a modern day ‘Scream Queen’, a few of Isabelle’s horror themed roles have included –
Mary Mason, American Mary. A devoted student whose life revolves around practicing sutures on willing poultry patients in her kitchen, taking heat from harsh professors, and chatting with her Hungarian nana, who is drawn into the word of extreme body modification.
Ginger Fitzgerald, Ginger Snaps. Attacked and bitten by the Beast of Dailey Downs who infected her with the curse of lycanthropy, Ginger healed from her injuries, but began going through more erratic changes such as violent mood swings, increased libido and even began growing a tail. As the days passed, her ferocity became uncontrollable and she murdered several people and small animals.
Gibb Smith, Freddy vs. Jason. A Springwood teenager and friend of Lori Campbell. She is in an emotionally abusive relationship with her boyfriend Trey who is later killed by Jason Voorhees. She was the fifth victim of the Freddy vs. Jason killing spree to die
