The Monster Equality Campaign was set up for the following reasons:
To educate the public about the discrimination monsters often face.
To provide support for monsters who are victims of inequality.
To campaign for changes in the law and attitudes.
Since 2001, we have worked tirelessly to achieve these goals and witnessed a monumental victory in July 2013, when Glasgow City Council (Scotland) agreed to allow a legal marriage between two monsters.
The campaign goes on however, and examining the following statistics makes us ever more determined to fight for equality.
Our current projects include:
Lobbying for monster accessible public buildings, with mandatory slime drip trays, tail detecting doors, notices designed for multiple eye positions, flame retardant fixtures for our fire breathing friends, and claw-proof furniture.
The images above are from the First Legal Monster Marriage.
This is what this campaign has been about, and this wouldn’t have been possible without your support. Everyone who has shared our campaign, spoke out against discrimination, sent the monsters messages of support – thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
