Halloween Triple Bill Headed to Glasgow Horror Fest 2019

Coming to Glasgow this October 13, a fantastic triple bill of horror films will be on the big screen to usher in the Halloween Season. We are thrilled to announce that Glasgow Horror Fest 2019 is hosting a line up of seasonal scares, 13 OCTOBER in BLACKFRIARS, Bell Street. The film line-up includes retro horror THE BARN, the Halloween themed series THE WITCHING SEASON, and a full vintage Halloween exerience in THE TRICK OR TREAT PICTURE SHOW.

Tickets are available via Eventbrite.

There’s now under seven days to book tickets for the film festival, which we will be presenting in partnership with our friends at Neon Frights.

The event takes place in the appropriately spooky basement of Blackfriars – where horror fans can embrace the Halloween spirit, enjoy a rare opportunity to see these amazing films on the big screen, munch on popcorn and meet fellow local horror enthusiasts.

Here’s a little more information on the films headlining the festival.

THE BARN: Its Halloween 1989, best friends Sam and Josh are trying to enjoy what’s left of their final Devil’s Night before graduating high school. But trouble arises when the two pals and a group of friends take a detour on their way to a rock concert, finding an old abandoned barn and awakening the evil inside. Now it’s up to Sam and Josh to find a way to protect their friends and defeat the creatures that lurk within “The Barn”.

THE WITCHING SEASON: Fueled by nostalgia, this anthology of short horror films tells original tales of terror set during the Halloween season.

THE TRICK OR TREAT PICTURE SHOW: A VHS homage to Slasher Films, Drive-in Movie Culture and Halloween Public Service Announcements, in Picture Show Format – a full 80s horror experience.

Join us for a very special Halloween treat – with a few spooky tricks in store!
