The hotel, located above Toho Cinema, celebrated its grand opening by installing a large Godzilla head on its lower roof deck. The historic cinema will also screen many of the giant monsters adventures on the big screen for guests to enjoy. For $125 a night, guests can stay in a room that looks directly out on to the giant model Godzilla head.

Hotel Gracery spokesman Eigo Ueda said: ‘This Godzilla head is part of our strategy for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics when many foreign tourists will visit and we want to provide the best experience to them. What better way than to appeal to tourists with a giant Godzilla figure.’
