Santiago Caruso’s Nightmarish Creations

Santiago Caruso is a symbolist artist of a decadent avant-garde language, standing out both for the vigor of its poetry as well as for its technique.

Dedicated to the fantastique, among his most important illustrated books you can find: Jane Eyre (Folio Society); El Horror de Dunwich, La Condesa Sangrienta and El Monje y la Hija del Verdugo (Libros del Zorro Rojo); El Eco de mis Muertes (Self edition); The Walls of the Castle (Black Labyrinth); Senhorita Christina (Tordesilhas); Historias de Vampiros (Longseller); The Peacock Escritoire and Tarshishim (Ex Occidente Press); Three Great Plays of Shakespeare & Don Quixote, (Penguin Readers).

Between 2005 and 2011, he published his art on the mythical magazine Caras y Caretas. He has also makes book covers for Tartarus Press, Nightshade Books, Black Labyrinth, Dark Regions Press, Random House Mondadori, Planeta and Páginas de Espuma, among others. Also, he has created the visual concept of music albums of different bands from America and Europe.
