Getting creative with materials like syrup and food colouring is part of the indie horror tradition. That’s what drew us to this art project, which creates spooky abandoned scenes using just paper, mould and flour. Italian artist Daniele Del Nero created the project, known as After Effects to “talk about the sense of time and destiny of the planet after the human species, through the sense of restlessness which abandoned buildings are able to communicate.”
The result looks like towns and cities devastated in an eerie post-apocalyptic world. Check out the pieces below.
