South Korean designer Haenuli created a dark, eerie love story in comic book form to explain her experiences with mental illness. The story follows a woman and her relationship with a skeletal figure, and forms a conversation the artist is having with herself. Haenuli has explained that the series helped her to achieve a deeper understanding of her depression, and she found creating it to be a comforting experience, much like counselling provided by this imaginary figure.
As well as creating artwork, Haenuli designs clothing, which can be found on her online store. For more on mental health and horror, check out this series of slasher art raising money for mental health charities, or this gaming event tackling stereotypes.
