Anyone who’s ever watched a Dario Argento horror movie will recall his unique, dreamlike visual style well. The style lends itself so well to artistic creation that art collective Malleus produced a series of trippy posters for his most iconic films.

Surrealism, art nouveau, and female forms are often found in the group’s work – and are evident in this horror poster series too. The project was in collaboration with  the British Dark City Gallery,

Original artworks have been created for L’uccello dalle piume di cristallo (aka: The Bird with the Crystal Plumage), Profondo Rosso (aka: Deep Red), Phenomena (aka: Creepers), Tenebrae, Opera (aka: Terror at the Opera), 4 Mosche di Velluto Grigio (aka: Four flies on Grey Velvet), La Sindrome di Stendhal (aka: The Stendhal Syndrome), Inferno and obviously Suspiria.

The posters can be purchased from the collective’s online store.
