The DIY approach to Halloween costumes seems to be diminishing as more pop up costume stores fill the streets during October. For some Halloween lovers though, the tradition of making your own costume is still an important part of their traditions. Stephanie Pokorny of Crochetverse takes it to another level – with the intricate crochet designs she crafts for her children every Halloween.
Stephanie’s mother made her costumes from scratch – and she is proud to pass on this tradition to the next generation. She lives in a climate where Halloween temperatures can plummet – often snowing throughout the holiday – so the kids appreciate a warm, cosy costume!
Among her designs are some horror icons, including Pennywise and Predator. She also has patterns available for you to try out some of her designs.
