Monsters in the Closet – A Political, Practical FX Indie Horror Film
Filmmaker Zack Snygg is no stranger to practical effects and horror verging on slightly camp. He has worked as part of the Troma Team Video, and on Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s debut film Cannibal the Musical. As an independent filmmaker, he’s the man behind killer rabbit B-Movie . BEASTER DAY: Here Comes Peter CottonHell.
Now Zack has teamed up with his brother Spencer Snygg who is an experienced lighting and technical specialist to create Monsters in the Closet.
The brothers have financed the film themselves, and are turning to Kickstarter for remaining funds to finish the film and provide food and travel for the actors and crew from Allentown PA, which is known as a low income city. They hope they can bring about a more positive outlook of the city and promote the many talented artists in the area.
The film looks a lot of fun, in the vein of camp classics such as The Killer Shrews and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Head over to Kickstarter for more info.
