Artist Alex Chinneck, who created the sliding house, upside-down house, and the floating piazza in Covent Garden, is also the creative genius behind this real life house of wax. Bearing a resemblance to the house from the infamous horror movie remake, the house was a short term art structure in London. The piece was named ‘A Pound of Flesh for 50p, a  two-story house sculpture constructed from 8,000 paraffin wax bricks and designed to melt with assistance from a heating apparatus. It stood for three months before being destroyed.
