Horror Fest: Behind the Scenes
At Popcorn Horror, we have learned and grown every year with our Halloween events. We’ve found that a good mix of party, film and convention atmosphere is perfect for our local horror fans. We also believe that the major festivals and conventions are becoming increasingly corporate. (Wall to wall Funko Pops anyone?)
The origins of horror, sci-fi and fan events was rooted in forming indie communities to support creative talent. Popcorn Horror is not owned or managed in any way by any major film/TV/events corporation. We’re a close community of horror creators and fanatics who like to get Glasgow’s darkest out at Halloween to meet like-minded people. We love collaborating to support and add value to indie creations, and work with other groups in similar setups.
This year at Glasgow Horror Fest, we will be partnering with several long-term artists, and some new ones – plus haunt props and attraction experts to bring something new for 2018. More details coming this week!
In the meantime, we’re making mood boards to gather our ideas and bring them together for a night of neon terror. Check out the first of them below and stick around for updates as even more joins the 2018 line-up!
