Halloween Horror Night Thank Yous
Last night was our first major Popcorn Horror event when we took over the Queen Margaret Union for a night of spooky fun. While I have spent most of today recovering from last night (!), I wanted to share some pictures from the event and say thanks to a few people.
First off, thanks to everyone from the Popcorn Horror team who got involved with the event in the run up and by supporting us on the night. Special thanks to Andrea, Alexander, Caitlin, Kelly, Sarah, Rob and Michael.
Thank you to the QMU staff and technical support for their assistance in the organizing and running of the night.
We loved the work of the artists who exhibited and sold work at the event, and want to thank them for supporting us and getting involved.
All the directors who allowed us to screen their films – thank you for allowing us to share your work. Special thanks to Andy, who’s film INK we screened at the event for his calming support during a bit of technical difficulty.
The night was really brought together by our fantastic host Lacy Rain and her drag sisters October Fist and Rujazzle -big thanks to them for all their hard work.
Glasgow punk band Razorblade Smile closed the night, went all out on their costumes and created a great spooky party atmosphere. Our kind of people!
Finally, a huge thanks to everyone who attended the event and the Glasgow University students who got involved. Everyone who checked out the films, bought our merch, supported the raffle and wore Popcorn Horror t-shirts – you made our Halloween awesome 🙂
