So if you’re in the city this Halloween, grab some popcorn and check out the following awesome indie horror films!
INK is a body-horror film from our friend Andy Stewart. Andy is a local Scottish director and this film is part of a series of body horror short films which present internal anguish paralleled with physical suffering. This one focuses on a man who is obsessed with tattoos. But his obsession takes a dark turn when he attempts to solve the age-old issue: “Good tattoos aren’t cheap and cheap tattoos aren’t good…”
Andy will be coming along to the event to introduce his film.
CALL GIRL is Jill Sixx Gevargizian’s directorial debut. From Sixx Tape Productions, Call Girl was written by Eric Havens and brought to life by a successful crowdfunding campaign. It stars the unnerving horror actor Laurence R. Harvey of The Human Centipede 2: (Full Sequence) and Tristan Risk from American Mary. It’s the story of a dark date night taking place via video chat.
THE LAST TIME I SAW RICHARD is an eerie supernatural film by Nicholas Verso. In 1995, Jonah is proud to be the loner at the teen mental health clinic. But when a new patient, Richard, is admitted and the boys are forced to share a room, Jonah finds himself forming a connection despite himself. But will their bond be strong enough to protect them from the darklings that hide in the night shadows?
TELL is violent tale from Danny Cotton. Three people enter an isolated forest to discuss the violent story of a family torn apart by their own actions many years ago, in the very spot they camp. But the actions of the past, as they soon realise, still have horrifying and bloody effects to anyone that dares learn more of this disturbing tale.
LEFTOVERS is a comedically violent film created by Austin Rink. It focuses on a body snatcher who must quickly dispose of the corpses piling up in his home before he is captured by authorities.
