Even if you haven’t heard of him, you will likely have seen some of Nathan Thomas Milliner’s artwork. He is an illustrator who has designed iconic covers for Scream Factory and HorrorHound Magazine’s, before he turned his attention to filmmaking. Already under his belt is THE NECROVILLE PICTURE SHOW, a tribute to the great horror hosts of the past such as Vampira, Zacherly and Elvira and GIRL NUMBER THREE, a throwback to female revenge films of the 70s. His next project however, is perhaps the most ambitious – a fan film based on the universe created in the Nightmare on Elm Street series.
Set for premiere at this September’s HorrorHound Weekend, and hitting the net shortly thereafter,The Confession of Fred Krueger is a short film that will serve as Milliner’s own prequel to the original Nightmare on Elm Street, telling the origin story of the ‘Springwood Slasher.’
The synopsis for the film reads:
“The Springwood Police Department has just arrested a man named Fred Krueger, a janitor at the local power plant whom they believe to be the notorious Springwood Slasher. A filthy child murderer who has murdered 20 children over a 5 year long reign of terror on the nice suburban Ohio town. Krueger has been brought to the station to be interrogated by the department’s senior lieutenant. Sit down with one of the most charismatic and sinister man to ever walk the earth and hear him tell his story.”
