Last week, Popcorn Horror hosted the first Glasgow Valentine’s Massacre – a night of indie horror films, illusions and twisted romance. We were joined by some of the cities spookiest couples for the evening, and we hope everyone had a wonderfully spooky Valentine’s date with their significant others!
Our couples were treated to a selection of horror films with a horror-romance theme, including an exclusive short film program from the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge. Following the micro-short films, we moved to the longer shorts program – featuring Date From Hell, Skulls, Night Tide, Zombiosis, and Birthday Party. Then our selection for the feature film was the brutal, shocking Doll Syndrome.
We were very pleased to screen all of these innovative indie horror films to our local horror community. For the particularly stand out films, we have named Birthday Party as the winner of the best twisted love short – with an honorable mention going to Zombiosis.
And as the selected feature film entry for the event, Doll Syndrome is the winner of the award for feature horror films.
Massive thank you to our spooky couples, all of the filmmakers who submitted and got involved with the event, and the lovely staff at Blackfriars who have supported us at several of our horror events!
